If you are interested in local land and water conservation, and can attend monthly meetings, this could be you. District 5 includes the Cities of Duluth, Hermantown, Proctor, and Midway Township. Potential supervisors must live in one of these areas. Supervisors must commit to attending monthly meetings held on the third Wednesday of each month, at 7:00 pm. There are many benefits to serving on the Board: Helping to shape local SWCD policy; Meeting other Supervisors from around the State at annual meetings and training events; Getting to know the SWCD staff and learning about current water quality and land stewardship issues, policies, and projects; A per diem of $125 and mileage paid for attending Board and Committee meetings; the satisfaction of participating in a local democratic process and of being a public servant. If you, or someone you know, would like to be considered for the open supervisor position for District 5, please email RC.Boheim@southstlouisswcd.org by December 12, 2025.
